Our Client is a boutique property investment manager who is looking to add a strong accountant to their team. This role encompasses parts of financial accounting as well as some management accounting and you will truly get to impact the performance of the investments. This role involves working within a team of 4, learning from highly regarded accounting and finance team members.
The Role:The Management Accountant is responsible for all investment actuals and forecast cashflow reporting and associated tasks that include but not limited to: annual budget process, bank account and general ledger reconciliations and updating key forecast items.
Responsibilities include ongoing periodic investor cash distribution reviews and recommendations to be made to key stakeholders such as Fund Managers and other senior management. Scenario forecast cashflow analysis is required on a syndicate, case by case basis, at the request of key stakeholders as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Monthly Management reports and forecasts
- Collaborating with the Fund Managers, Investor relations team and the Exec when needed
- Review and assess working capital
- Obtain forecast information inputs from Managers and Agents to create accurate forecasts
- Review budgets and budget variances
- Manage the cash at bank and provide recommendations for cash management.
- Accounts payable
- Manage the loan and finance positions and report to Head of Finance
- Other Ad-hoc analysis
- Quarterly BAS lodgements
- Assist the finance and accounting team where needed
- Minimum of 4 years experience in accounting
- Degree in Accounting
- Postgrad/CPA/CA commenced or completed (desirable)
- Experience working with property or investments (desirable)
- Fast learner and adaptable
