The Manager, Business Services is a role within Youth Justice and Exceptional Needs and is accountable to the General Manager, Business Transformation and Quality for:
- Leading a Business Services team to deliver effective and efficient business support services to staff and operational areas of Youth Justice (YJ).
- Managing all cross functional issues affecting YJ such as financial and human resource (HR) management, business processes, reporting, strategic planning and organisational improvement.
- Managing resources and risks effectively through developing best practice and quality assurance systems, operational standards and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Role Status: Term up to 31/01/2025.
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in a business, management, finances or administrative related discipline or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
A knowledge of Dimensions, CHRIS21, HR21, Basware and other government workforce management, payroll and financial systems and processes is also highly desirable.

Screening Checks
If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.
