The role
We are looking for a dynamic Capability and Learning Design Manager to join our workforce development team of four.
The role will need a high energy, innovative and experienced Learning Designer who is passionate about understanding the needs of the rail industry to attract, train and retain talented and competent staff.
This exciting position will oversee the expansion of our online course offerings and delivery of these through our own Learning Management System (LMS).
This role offers the opportunity to work in the VET, higher education and rail industry areas to lead and support the delivery of well targeted, engaging learning solutions.

About you
You will have the following attributes:
- Extensive learning and assessment design experience across multiple channels including face to face, e-learning using tools such as Articulate, Rise360, and blended learning solutions.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, supporting professional standards in all communication requirements.
- Ideally learning and development experience in the rail industry for a period exceeding two years.
- Sound understanding of the vocational and higher education sectors, including experience with both non-accredited and accredited learning solutions.
- Highly organised with an ability to work independently, under-pressure across multiple projects.
- Ability to review and analyse data and provide this analysis to stakeholders to facilitate learning project progress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and learning management system software.
- Ability to re-prioritise work as required, with a continued focus on timely delivery of projects.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or rail industry experience.

Flexible work environment (currently our Canberra team works from home on Mondays and Fridays).
