About the opportunityThe Manager of
Casual Academic Work Allocation supports Faculties and University Schools in allocating tasks to
Casual Academic staff. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure uniformity throughout the University regarding the application of the provisions of the Enterprise Agreement with respect to the allocation of
Casual Academic work, as well as the reconciliation of timesheets. Additionally, this role acts as a subject matter expert within the Employee Payments Review (EPR) Program to uphold consistent controls and procedures.Please note this role has an expectation of 5 days per week in the office on the Camperdown campus
Your key responsibilities will be to:- provide expert advice and guidance to the work area in connection with allocating, tracking, and reporting of work allocations for Casual Academics
- generate the teaching framework for capturing the allocations of the work area units of study as required
- provide sound advice to the work area professional staff on the consistent use of pay codes
- proactively deliver pre-semester activities
- engage with the EPR program and other colleagues to promote consistency of control and processes
- collaborate with local leadership to implement additional process changes
- provide advice and guidance on the knowledge uplift amongst the teams in the work area
- be a SME for all EPR related matters
- provide FGM/SGM and senior leadership with summaries and reports with recommendations.
About you- demonstrated experience influencing changes and implementing new procedures and systems
- experience in the development and improvement of administrative procedures
- minimum 5 years education administrative experience
- experience with learning management systems
- computer literacy including use of Microsoft office suite
- demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, planning and organisation
- demonstrated critical thinking and decision making.
