Based at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital the Risk, Safety and Quality Manager role is a full time, Monday to Friday position with flexible working hours.
The position works alongside staff, consumers and managers, and is responsible for providing day to day support of the Clinical Governance systems to ensure they complement the strategic direction, daily operational processes, budget, business direction and delivery of clinical care of the hospital, whilst supporting compliance with the National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
- Promote and engage with staff to provide a common understanding of the National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards and Clinical Trials Governance Framework within the hospital
- Lead a hospital wide quality improvement program that promotes an integrated system of patient safety, quality improvement and risk management in line with the strategic direction of the hospital.
- Support the leadership team and actively participate in identification and management of risks within the hospital.
- Registration with the Australian Heath Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Nurse and or Midwife
- A thorough understanding of the National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards and Clinical Trials Governance Framework
- An understanding of principles of quality improvement and risk management
- Skills in investigation and report writing with a keen eye for detail
- High level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
