The T2D Contract Management Directorate has recently been established to provide expertise and best practice commercial and contract management services for the North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office construction contracts.As the Manager, Commercial you will join the Directorate’s leadership team and drive the provision of best-practice and innovative commercial and contract management services for the project construction contracts in the North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office. You will oversee all aspects of the commercial activities relating to this important work.Your responsibilities will include offering high-level advice, managing complex matters, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in commercial frameworks and risk management. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Project team, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, evaluating tenders, and providing strategic guidance to navigate the complexities of our capital program.About You
We’re looking for someone who is dynamic and results-oriented with previous legal experience in commercial and contract management within the infrastructure sector. You will have demonstrated experience in the interpretation of construction related contract clauses, influencing negotiations, and resolving complex issues and leading multidisciplinary teams towards success.Knowledge of market engagement practices, market drivers, government requirements and policies and the processes of governments required to undertake major projects are key to success in this role and ensuring the provision of strategic guidance to the team and a high standard of customer service.The successful candidate will showcase skills in strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. They will possess a deep understanding of commercial models and operations, procurement practices, and contract negotiation strategies relevant to major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check (NPC) prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.Enquiries
