Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the supermarket industry, with a deep understanding of its dynamics. Reporting to senior management, the Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the presence of Rio Coffee nationally, while also overseeing the distribution and promotion of Goodies and Grains as part of our brand portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the visibility and sales performance of Rio Coffee in retail supermarkets.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including supermarkets, convenience stores, independent retailers, suppliers and interstate distributors
- Lead a team of sales staff, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Coordinate in-store activities, including merchandising, promotions, and product placement, to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Oversee the national distribution and promotion of Goodies and Grains products as part of the Rio Coffee brand portfolio
- Facilitate close collaboration with suppliers, acting as a liaison between senior management and suppliers to maintain strong relationships
- Conduct sales analysis, translating findings into actionable insights for senior management. Develop presentations and reports highlighting growth opportunities, risks, and strategic expansion recommendations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the industry, with a focus on brand management and sales growth.
- Deep understanding of supermarket dynamics, merchandising principles, and industry trends.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Willingness to travel and spend time in-store as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
