Reporting to the Head of Community and Culture, the Manager Community Services is responsible for providing leadership in developing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on Community Services strategies, plans and activities.
The focus of the Community Services team is on Community Wellbeing; Access, Ageing and Inclusion and Community Safety, Council’s Community Volunteer Service, and Youth Services programs. The purpose of the team is to improve community wellbeing through providing and supporting access to services, programs and information that are inclusive to and accessible to all people.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in social or behavioural sciences, policy, research, planning, Community Services or significant demonstrated sector experience.
- Well-developed understanding and experience of community development principles, engagement, and community participation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a keen sense of clarity around messaging to audience, ensuring you are best placed to work with a diverse stakeholder group.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team through effective leadership, coaching, motivation and achieving high performance of the team in delivering organisations goals and objectives.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
A base salary between $101,574.29 and $116,378.92 will be negotiated with the preferred candidate + 12.5% superannuation and a 19-day month. A guaranteed 2.5% salary increase applies to this salary (or CPI) in July 2024.
