What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Manager, Communication, this role will be responsible for:
managing the VEC's online presence, including leading digital projects for major election events
leading 3 direct reports (2 digital specialists and a social media manager) as part of the Digital and social stream of the Communication Team
leading the evolution of the VEC's direct digital notification service, VoterAlert
providing high level specialist expertise to ensure that VEC websites, digital products and social media presences are accessible, accurate, relevant and engaging
managing the ongoing effectiveness of the design and function of VEC digital assets to meet strategic communication and reputation objectives.
What you will bring to the role
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
the ability to lead major digital communication projects
highly specialised expertise in current web accessibility standards, user experience, and information architecture
knowledge of and high proficiency in the use of content management systems
demonstrated capability in managing, developing and leading team members
commitment to the VEC's core values.
