Join our team as the Manager of Digital Assessment Support within the Academic Services & Digital Experience Team at Scholarly Services. In this role, you'll collaborate with a team of experts to coordinate Digital Assessment services and support instructional staff university-wide in designing effective assessments using cutting-edge educational technologies. You'll lead coordination efforts, working closely with the Exams Unit and IT Support, and engage with stakeholders both internally and externally to drive innovation in online learning systems support
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Digital Assessment group in the Academic Systems & Digital Experience team within Scholarly Services, supporting the Associate Director in operationalising the University's strategic Digital Assessment initiatives. Focussing on facilitating effective use of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) in Digital Assessment and examination contexts using educational technologies.
- Implementing industry and sector best practices, and providing comprehensive support for a variety of learning and teaching activities.
- Leading a small team of Educational Technologists, coordinating digital examination service support in collaboration with other departments and internal stakeholders.
- Actively contributing to strategic discovery projects and pilots exploring enterprise learning technologies suite, collaborating with various university teams.
We're seeking an individual with a proven track record in managing Educational Technology services, including Learning Management Systems, in complex institutional environments. You will be an experienced team leader, with strong communication skills. Managing a small team, you will be able to provide excellent coaching and training, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within your team.
You will excel in managing workloads within a dynamic team environment, ensuring high levels of satisfaction for both our staff and students. Experience in leveraging data and analytics to drive insights and inform improvements are also highly valued.

You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications with strong relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Proven expertise in industry standards and operational practices for educational and ICT service delivery. Capable of implementing practical, sustainable solutions under pressure to meet strategic and tactical needs for advancing learning and teaching goals both centrally and locally.
- Proven track record in managing complex user support and consultation requests, enhancing experiences and outcomes for staff and students using online educational technologies for fully online and blended learning approaches.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and active engagement in staying current with the latest applications of technologies in learning, teaching, and assessment.
