As the Caseworker Carer Assessment, Recruitment and Support (CARS) at Meli's Out of Home Care (OoHC) service, you'll be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and Supporting foster carers. Your role involves responding to inquiries, conducting comprehensive assessments, providing training, and offering ongoing support to ensure the well-being of both carers and children. The key objectives of this role are:
- Recruit, train, monitor and Support foster carers to provide home based placements for children and young people.
- Implement accreditation process of foster carers including conducting training, assessments and ongoing monitoring of foster care households.

- Part-time role, working 30.4 hours per week
- $94,077 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Diploma of Welfare Studies or equivalent qualifications.
- Experienced and skilled in facilitating training and undertaking complex assessments with recommendations.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the child protection and out of home care systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in report writing and facilitation skills.
