About the role:
An exciting, ongoing opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Manager, Educational Quality!
Within this role, you will provide expert guidance on academic excellence and regulatory or contractual obligations and ensuring compliance and quality improvement in vocational programs. This involves developing, implementing, and overseeing relevant academic quality assurance and education standards and frameworks.
The Manager, Educational Quality is an executive officer offering support for various boards, committees and subcommittees and advising staff on regulatory or contractual obligations. Collaborating closely with colleagues at BHI, the position will cultivate positive client relationships to facilitate the development and implementation of initiatives and ensuring quality of programs in managing BHIs Scope of Registration.
This role will provide guidance in the implementation of the BHI Education Strategy and Quality Management System and in addition, provide advice to the Internal Quality Assurance Audit reviews and establish, implement, and maintain an independent internal quality assurance auditing function and the requisite processes and tools to support the monitoring, review and audit of key areas of BHI.
The Manager, Educational Quality is a member of Academic Quality in the Academic Governance portfolio located at the Elgar Campus. The position will oversee the Governance of VET and work in collaboration with Faculties, Commercial Contracts, and Service Areas across BHI.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience in academic quality and compliance
- Demonstrated experience within a leadership role aligned to internal quality auditing is desirable
- Possess strong knowledge of the VET, International Inbound Students, VCE and Non-school Senior Secondary delivery, VETDSS, Skills First Program, AMEP, ACFE, and other program offerings
- Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the contractual requirements pertaining to the Skills First program and Adult, Community and Further Education
- Proven expertise in applying the principles of quality assurance and continuous improvement and the application in a complex education and training organisation Experience in managing quality assurance systems and frameworks, as well as conducting audits in higher education
- Experience in the development, scheduling, coordination and reporting of audit programs
- Demonstrate proven understanding of a wide range of administrative requirements that support coordination of education and training, with expertise in compliance with accreditation/audit recommendations and quality assurance
- High level experience in the development and the ability to develop policies and procedures and facilitate their implementation
- Exhibit a high level ability to solve problems, anticipate potential problems and pre-empt actions, liaise with stakeholders while analysing issues and proposing workable and positive solutions with effectiveness
- Align with BHIs values in personal attributes
