Manager Finance

Our client based in Perth’s southern suburbs is currently seeking a driven Finance Manager.

Your new company 
Our client requires a Finance Manager for a temporary period, initially for 3 to 6 months. This position will have three direct reports, including the Senior Financial Accountant, Management Accountant and Asset Accountant. The position is looking for an immediate start within the next two weeks.Your new role 
As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage all financial reporting requirements, ensuring it’s in line with relevant compliance
• Lead state budget processes, including budget submissions
• Manage the development of capital budgets
• Assist with property management accounting 
• Liaise with Department of Treasury and auditors 
• Managing the preparation of financial statements 
• Managing the overall compliance of financial systems 
• Maintaining and building effective stakeholder relationships

What you'll need to succeed 
Your previous experience in a similar role will be essential, as will:

• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of financial reports and annual financial statements
• Experience in the state government budget process as well as developing internal budgets
• Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and/ or professional membership
• Previous experience of managing a team
• Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and legislation
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
