Your engaging leadership skills will see you:
- Provide specialist strategic and operational advice to the Council, Executive Leadership Team and Budget Managers in relation to Australian Accounting Standards, legislation, regulations, and Council’s financial policies and procedures.
- Influence team performance through the application of modern people management and leadership practices.
- Manage the implementation and ongoing review of annual and forward work plans and initiatives which build capability, value and opportunities for others to achieve sound financial management practices.
- Monitor and analyse data related to financial performance and trends and utilise this information to provide recommendations for improvement and inform progressive action.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or Commerce.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of implementation plans and systems in financial reporting.
- Demonstrated and successful senior management experience within the Financial Services field.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style according to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure quality service delivery in accordance with agreed levels of service and best practice customer service principles.
- Demonstrated high level of personal integrity and ethics with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
