The Manager is responsible for planning, co-ordinating and implementing health maintenance programs in the Northern sector of SESLHD. The position also provides operational management to the Community Aboriginal Health Service to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with their ongoing health needs.
The position is based at the Prince of Wales Hospital Campus Randwick as part of the Community Health Services.
You will be part of a team consisting of Aboriginal health workers, allied health staff including exercise physiologist and fitness instructors.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related discipline, or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.

- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach. Ability to communicate cross – culturally.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high volume dynamic work environment.
- Current drivers licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
