The role of the Manager – HR & Wellbeing:
• Manage, develop & implement HR strategies, policies, systems, procedures & initiatives aligning with overall business strategy;
• Oversee, review and maintain performance, training & professional development, Health & Wellbeing frameworks;
• Advice on all Human Resources employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR)] matters, wellbeing and performance coaching;
• Provide expert advice on management, attract, develop and placement of talent that drives high performance;
• Oversee and manage Worker Compensation matters and liaise with relevant stakeholders on legal matters.;
• Provide strategic advice to Council and Senior Management;
• Implement HR and Health & Safety systems and advice, analyse, implement, monitor & recommend improvements and actions to address concerns;
• Prepare, monitor & review Workforce Plan responding to integrated planning & reporting requirements.
What we are seeking:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related area of study;
• Substantial proven experience in a Senior HR managerial role with demonstrated experience in ER & IR issues [10+ years];
• Exceptional change management, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage, motivate and negotiate;
• Actively contribute to building a high performing organisational people culture and model;
• Demonstrated success in implementation of workplace improvements and promoting continuous learning;
• Current Class C Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.
