Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of NSW. What you'll be doingThe position has a key co-ordination, development and liaison role in the effective delivery of recruitment of medical staff to Southern NSW Local Health District. The position is responsible for managing the medical recruitment and workforce needs of the District to ensure that these are met at all times through effective management of all stakeholders and include operational, functional and technical compliance monitoring.


Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
    In no more than 3 slides and 5 minutes, please present how you will approach your first 90 days in this role and what you hope to achieve in that time.
  2. Experience in the use of an electronic recruitment management platform or health related electronic systems, as well as a high level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  3. Broad understanding of the business processes for sourcing of medical locum staff, of hospitals, Medical Administration and Medical Workforce Unit.
  4. Proven project coordination or management, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to provide support for the ongoing development of the Medical Workforce Unit.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to analyse data and align procedures with policy to support efficient service delivery and high quality health outcomes.
  6. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels, including information technology vendors, clinicians and support staff.
  7. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload and to set and meet deadlines.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category ‘B’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive 

All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs

All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
