We are seeking a dynamic people leader who can bring their demonstrated experience and new energy to our multi-disciplinary primary and Community Health services. You will develop, motivate and nurture our team of frontline leaders, to be able to confidently drive results and be change agents for new and innovative ways of working.

This role is a full timefixed term position for 2 years and will be based across our Lilydale and Belgrave sites, however we can offer some flexibility with hours and location and we support hybrid work practices.

About the role:

This role is responsible for the operational implementation of strategy and leadership of the multidisciplinary allied health teams. A key focus will be to drive and implement revenue growth activities, whilst operationally embedding Inspiro’s service model and new business initiatives/opportunities within the teams. You will also maintain budget responsibility for your areas of oversight and actively seek opportunities to build and grow partnership engagement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implementing strategy and empowering the organisation to set and achieve goals.
  • Building successful relationships both internally and externally, that improves engagement and aligns stakeholders with Inspiro’s goals and vision.
  • Accountable for department budgets, funding obligations, risk and compliance reviews and controls and increased revenue.
  • Drive productivity in a manner that supports and empowers the organisation, in keeping with Inspiro’s Values.
  • Ensure the processes, policies, systems, and networks all contribute to supporting the success of the Inspiro, our people and our community, aligning to reforms and funding.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Primary and Community Health Leadership Team to support the achievement of operational objectives.
  • Lead, empower and enable Team Leaders to support the day-to-day operations of multidisciplinary teams, to deliver high quality, evidence-based services to the community.
  • Lead and operationalise the implementation of Inspiro’s new service models for the team.
  • Examine financial and program performance data and use them to improve profitability and productivity.
  • Effectively lead Team Leaders, to improve and maintain optimal workforce planning and staffing levels. Ensure effective communication and delegation occurs across teams, with a view to optimise productivity.
  • Monitor and review funding contracts, activity reports ensuring any relevant monthly reporting completed is timely and accurate.
  • Promote and support the embedding of student/clinical placement activities/initiatives across teams through collaboration with the clinical leadership team, demonstrating a commitment to creating future career prospects and pathways.
  • Monitor, review and work with Team Leaders to address any incidents within the Allied Health Team to promote the continuous improvement.
  • Plan for and actively contribute content in relation to Allied Health programs/services to be used for internal education and external promotions/messages to the wider community (e.g., special chronic disease promotion days, stories, newsletter pieces, events etc).
  • Plan and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure effective flow of communication, opportunities to learn and share knowledge are provided and to build and maintain a positive team culture.
  • Actively contribute to stakeholder engagement and management (i.e., DHHS, Yarra Ranges Council, other key stakeholders), attending relevant working groups/funding/partnership meetings
  • Champion Quality, Risk and Clinical Practice to ensure the any frameworks or recommendations related to reforms (e.g., aged care, mental health, child safety, MARAM etc.) are imbedded in the delivery of service across the team.
  • Drive and lead due diligence/application processes in relation to tendering for new funding/revenue generating initiatives.
  • Work with HR and Primary and Community Health leadership team in relation to staff survey outcomes and strategies for retention and engagement.
  • Contribute to internal working groups/committees.
  • Ensure audits for areas of responsibility are undertaken and any actions or recommendations are followed up in a timely and planned way.
  • Promote an ‘accreditation ready’ approach with a continuous cycle of review of processes and systems of work.
  • Advocate for the commitment and understanding of wellbeing, encouraging this mindset across the team and organisation.
  • Enhance and sustain wellbeing through thoughtful and consistent leadership, effective decision making, systems, processes and well developed and maintained relationships.

About You:

  • Possess the ability to lead a team with empathy, vision, humility, creativity and integrity.
  • Demonstrate thoughtful leadership qualities and attributes by being observant, curious, self-reflective and action orientated.
  • Established management skills including negotiation, conflict management, coaching and performance development.
  • Can demonstrate systems thinking as well as being an innovative thinker who can work at both the macro and micro level.
  • Experienced in clinical decision making and prioritisation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Strong emotional and cultural intelligence, with the ability to self-reflect.
  • Capacity to actively learn through experimentation, pivot and apply changes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to read and interpret data reporting. Confident with numbers and using data to support decision making and drive outcomes.
  • Ability to engage team members, lead change, influence outcomes and problem solve to deliver on goals.
  • Ability to effectively manage self, others and objectives within an environment of ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Takes a collaborative approach and is genuinely committed to working with others to achieve outcomes.
  • Great communicator who thrives on building strong organisational relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and our community.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field/discipline
  • Leadership experience within the Community Health or Heath services sector
  • Experience leading projects or implementing new initiatives/services within the workplace (i.e., change projects, new systems of work etc.)
  • Previous experience with and knowledge of NDIS, My Aged Care and other client held revenue packages/sources
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and ability to drive a range of vehicles as required
  • Current Police and Working with Children Check valid for employment purposes.
