The Corporate Services Department delivers essential corporate, financial, and administrative necessary for Centacare NQ to function effectively and promote the overall organisational focus on excellence in the delivery of social services to the local region. As part of the Corporate Services Department, the People and Culture team includes a broad range of key functions including Human Resources, Payroll, WHS, and Quality Management Systems.
Joining a values-driven, supportive and inclusive team, you will:
lead the organisation's Human Resources, Payroll, Quality Management, and WHS services
lead and line manage the People and Culture team, which currently includes a People and Culture Officer, a Senior People and Payroll Officer, and a Coordinator Quality and Safety
development, implementation and promotion of HR, Payroll and WHS best practices in line with organisational mission and ethos to promote a strong, safe and positive workplace and organisational culture.
foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify and manage emerging needs, risks and needs within the workplace and broader service context.
conduct workplace investigations and prepare timely reports into matters related to but not limited to organisational workforce performance, individual conduct and related matters and other matters as identified by the Executive Director

To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant degree level qualification with extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications, expertise, and experience.
Significant experience across general Human Resources functions with particular expertise in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, developing compliant policies and procedures, and resolving complex workforce issues
Highly developed consultation and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to provide authoritative advice while maintaining credible relationships at all levels.
Supervisory or management experience in driving values-based approaches to team functioning, cultivating a focus on service excellence, and a positive team environment.
A current Driver Licence.
Currently hold, and/or eligibility to obtain and maintain, both a Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children Blue Card.
