About the Role
As the Business Development Manager your primary objective will be develop the existing compressed air and diesel generator business and to develop new relationships and building a sales revenue for power generation and our compressed air business, ensuring a strong presence and company success in the South Australia market.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager SA, WA, NT, the main responsibility of the role is to develop new business accounts and increase equipment hire opportunities sales in South Australia.
Duties
- Identify potential customers to pursue new business opportunities.
- Create and maintain high-level business activity and provide equipment hire quotes.
- Achieve monthly sales objectives.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships and data-base.
- Develop and execute a territory sales call plan.
Skills and Experience
You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an "I will make it happen" attitude to get the job done and does not accept no for an answer.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience and understanding of the equipment hire industry, specifically power generation and compressed air segments.
- Great salesmanship qualities and proven client relationship management
- Ability to follow up on quotes and convert into confirmed hire business
- Must be highly motivated and well presented
- Be able to work both independently and also be a strong internal team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Previous experience and success in a similar role and/or a good network within the mining, oil and gas and industrial industries in South Australia will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicant will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to drive a business into the next phase of growth.
