About this part of our organisation:
The Assets for our Queensland Metals operations include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including concentrators, smelters, a refinery and port facilities producing multiple commodities inclusive of Zinc, Copper, Lead and Silver.
About your potential new position:
This is an opportunity for you show your ability to manage the maintenance function for multiple assets, including a Copper and Zinc Concentrator Fixed Plant Assets, Major Workshops and Utilities to deliver clever and effective synergies and efficiencies. With an ability to lead a large team and in particular a team of highly capable Superintendents you bring your team along a journey to increase synergies and work inter-dependently.
With accountabilities across the multiple operations your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a culture of safety throughout your team and contractors, driving high safety performance via effective safety management practices.
- Development and execution of maintenance strategies in accordance with the entire Queensland Metals processing division long-term and short-term plans.
- Fostering innovation and continuous improvement within the Maintenance department
- Leading the Maintenance department and establishing a group culture, including building employee capability to support strategic objectives.
- Managing the financial performance of the Maintenance department
This is a critical role with the ability to have a significant impact on our business.
To deliver on expectations, you will:
- Have an excellent record of leading high performance maintenance teams within the resources sector or similar large scale heavy equipment industry.
- Structure resourcing to gain the best synergies from a large team.
- Demonstrate an ability to think strategically and wholistically to plan asset life cycles.
- Ensuring maintenance systems, processes and procedures are tested, delivered and incorporated into daily work tasks.
- Proactively collecting & and analysing data to optimise performance.
- Be able to show a history of developing, mentoring and retaining talent within your team.
