Hays has partnered with a thriving Brisbane-based organisation to appoint an established Project Oversight Manager to an initial 2-year contract . Working closely with the CIO, this is a rare and long-term opportunity to join an employer of choice in a high-level and strategic role.
Your new role
As the Project Oversight Manager, you will play a key role in the guidance, support and review of project activities to contribute to the successful delivery of projects across the organisation. Overseeing the Key Platforms stream within the council, your daily duties will include:
Lead and role model customer-service focus by encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing
Undertaking advisability reviews and providing assurance advice to executive leadership on projects as directed by the CIO
Form evidence-based recommendations and options that can be adopted by the organisation to improve program delivery and innovation
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and provide insightful advice/stimulate actions based on project health-checks
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and project teams, and demonstrate accountability for the execution and quality of results
What you'll need to succeed You'll be an accomplished Project or Program Manager, with demonstrated experience in a similar strategic role (closely dealing with the CIO and other executives). You'll possess the ability to lead and drive staff to high-performance, as well as communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups/committees to facilitate information exchange. Your ability to compile data to identify emerging trends will be second to none, while your skills in undertaking analysis to prepare project briefs to make informed decisions regularly set you apart from your peers. Experience in any ERP or CRM uplifts or transformations across SAP, D365, Adobe etc. will be very highly regarded. There is a hybrid working arrangement on offer, as well as an attractive hourly rate between $130 - $150 / hr incl. super.
