Address- Key role in providing Physical Security risk assessments across Westpac corporate sites
- Hybrid Working Model- Currently 2-3 days Sydney Office and WFH; travel also required
- This role is a Parental Leave Cover Role for a 12 month period
Our Group Protective Services (GPS) Team is accountable for managing the Group's Physical Security, Business Continuity, Crisis Management Operations, Policies, Standards and Procedures to ensure the safety and security of Westpac Group employees, assets, and operations.
You will be responsible for delivering and continuously improving the physical security risk management framework, methodologies and processes used by Protective Services (PS) to ensure the safety of Westpac staff, customers and assets. You will also assist with the response to physical security incidents to protect staff and customers, identify root causes and develop controls to reduce the likelihood and impact of physical security risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver a program of risk assessments to assess the Physical Security risk to Westpac assets across retail, corporate, data centres and international to ensure sites and assets are in line with Australian Standards and GPS Physical Security standards and make recommendations to close control gaps.
- Provide security SME and support to international locations to ensure Protective Security policies and standards are adhered too.
- Ensure risk assessment framework, methodologies and processes used by PS to assess and manage physical security risks are leading best practise
- Develop and implement recommendations and controls to eliminate or reduce the impact and likelihood of security risks
- Develop reports which identify emerging security threats, insights and trends and provide recommendations to relevant business units to reduce security risks
- In conjunction with Security Intelligence, develop processes and procedures and approach to investigating and mitigating insider threats.
- Lead the response to security incidents including victim support, law enforcement liaison, root cause analysis and post incident review.
- Support the SM Protective Security to develop and maintain security risk management and assessment policies and standards.
- Assist with the management of the contractual relationships with security manpower suppliers relevant to Protective Security.
- Provide support to ensure guard forces are appropriately deployed and providing professional services to our corporate locations and branch network in accordance with Westpac SOPs. This includes the continuous improvement of how we utilise guard forces with timely response and within budget.

What do I need?
- Proven experience in undertaking physical security risk assessments
- Degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline (Security Risk Management) or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in effective and timely response to security incidents
- Ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior executives and a range of stakeholders and business partners
- Proactive team player with proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals
- Knowledge of common security controls within a Retail and Corporate environment both electronic and physical
- Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills including writing skills
