We are currently recruiting for a Manager to join our Research & Development (R&D) Enabling Technology department at our global R&D headquarters in the heart of Melbourne’s biomedical precinct.
We are a global team of experts in the fields of R&D Scientific Information, Laboratory Automation, Information Management and in the Knowledge and Insights ecosystem that are providing cross-functional, harmonized guidance for digitalization of our R&D landscape. Our scope is:
Global, cross-functional initiatives and associated process improvements & facilitation – End to end management
Co-ownership of our digital and data platform and portfolio in collaboration with I&T and all R&D Function
Reporting to the Associate Director, R&D Enabling Technology, you will be responsible for the development, communication and adoption of utilisation and support models for R&D data systems within our R&D scientific & operational data landscape.
The Role
Business analysis work required to gather requirements, onboard and implement the automation of scientific data flows
Assist with the design, implementation, validation, and maintenance of R&D Enabling technology owned systems such as the Lab Data Repository
Responsible for identifying and analysing process improvement opportunities with R&D scientific data systems, supporting the implementation of these, e.g. prioritisation of instrument data use case onboarding and CSL R&D scientific data workflow mapping activities
Identify and implement solutions to global scientific & operational data system issues and concerns, lead communication, change management and end user adoption activities.
Develop and provide metrics on performance, cycle time and productivity to support ongoing improvements in quality and processes.
Drive the R&D Enabling Technology training and communication strategy with respect to end user adoption and acceptance
Establish and maintain partnerships with all R&D business functions, partner business functions like I&T (IT), Commercial and external vendors
Your skills and experience
Degree (BSc, MSc, Diploma) in an IT, technical or life science discipline or similar education
5+ years of experience in R&D with scientific system knowledge specifically in the area of Scientific Workflows, Instrument data integration, Data management, and exploratory Data analysis.
Experience in laboratory informatics business analysis (requirements gathering and documentation) is preferred
Strong analytical skills with a focus on process mapping and Business URS development
Strong understanding of general R&D lab global application landscapes and scientific understanding of R&D business and data flows and data standards
Strong stakeholder relationship and management
