The opportunity
This position provides operational management, direction and coordination for all operational planning, change management and transition activities under the scope of the program of work, to meet the current and future health care needs of our community.

Role requirement
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
- A highly desirable requirement for this role is previous experience working in an Operational Commissioning or service readiness role and/or implementation of major health infrastructure projects of similar scale and complexity.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in developing and implementing commissioning activities within the healthcare environment.
- Experience and high-level knowledge of project and/or health infrastructure project management.
- Leadership in managing and coordinating clinical and project team stakeholders, exercising sound judgement and developing effective responses in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to lead and work effectively as a member of a team to achieve project outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other senior project team members to ensure best project outcomes.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong, productive professional relationships, particularly in a health service environment, and using these relationships to secure positive project outcomes.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with project stakeholders at all levels, including the ability to negotiate, build relationships, influence stakeholders and manage staff and consultants to effectively achieve project outcomes.
- Proven ability and experience in the development and delivery of presentations to large groups, reviewing and developing reports, briefing notes and other related documentation.
- Ability to respond promptly and authoritatively within short timeframes incorporating the ability to synthesise facts, conduct detailed analysis, interpret and evaluate relevant data to plan and strategise to contribute to the wider project outcomes.
- Ability to apply knowledge and comply with relevant Queensland Health and wider government policies and delegations, including the ability to operate in a complex, sensitive and time critical environment and a record of achievement in meeting project milestones.
