About the Role
As the Manager, you will lead and manage data driven insights to inform regulatory practice reforms and initiatives that achieve strategic objectives and activities under the relevant legislative frameworks, and in accordance with the principles of good administrative decision making and best practice regulation.
The Manager reports to the Director, Registration Services, Registration Services (International, Non-State and Home Education), Policy, Performance, International and Intergovernmental Division.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delivery of advice, recommendations and project and financial management to ensure continuous quality improvement in regulatory functions, ensuring consistency, fairness and effectiveness in regulatory practice.
- Develop, implement and evaluate frameworks, tools, systems and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement in regulatory practice.
- Effectively manage high risk and complex matters and strategic oversight of regulatory outcomes and operations in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Drive effective processes for work planning, resource allocation and prioritisation of regulatory effort based on an intelligence and data-driven assessment of risk.
- Lead and manage the preparation and review of corporate documentation including strategic, and operational, annual reports, policies and procedures as required.
- Lead and manage the design and development of resources as required by legislation.
- Be responsible for the custody, integrity and application of all information and data held by the unit, and the accurate interrogation and analysis of the information and data as required.
- Manage the production and publication of high-quality information in print and on the website.
About You
You will be highly organised, a strong communicator who values stakeholders, and be experienced in leading strategic projects, data and financial analysis. Demonstrated experience in implementing a proactive approach to regulated activities and change management experience will be highly regarded.
