About the role:
The Manager - Residential Aged Care (RAC) will report directly to the General Manager of RAC Business Operations and be responsible for the success of the assigned homes in Sinnamon Village. The role will provide direction and leadership at the homes to achieve the Charter, vision, mission, strategic plan, annual goals and objectives of Wesley Mission Queensland.
The Manager will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of governance, compliance is met, and that the management of operational issues are aligned to the policies of WMQ.
About you:
To be effective in the position, the successful applicant will have and be able to demonstrate the following personal attributes, skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Nursing Degree and AHPRA Registered
- Proven experience in budget and asset management with a focus on efficiency and cost saving strategies.
- Understands and is knowledgeable about compliance and governance issues pertaining to leading an Aged Care home its accreditation & legislation procedures
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferably within a similar environment.
- Proven ability to consult, positively communicate and negotiate at a high level.
- Proven experience in developing, formulating and execution of organisational strategies.
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking expertise and critical decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of the legal requirements and governance/compliance processes within the Aged Care industry.
- Knowledge of current trends, developments and challenges facing the Aged Care industry.
- Ability to work in line with the Eden Philosophy and the Eden Domains of well-being.
