FORWARDING EXPERTS WITH GLOBAL REACH & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
As a Manager, Route Development, within our Ocean Freight team, you will be responsible for:
- Defining, implementing and executing the OFR business development strategies and activities in respective trade line in accordance with the business strategy
- Leading the team to ensure direct customer contacts through sales channels and consignee sales trips
- Identifying and developing customer relationships
- Conducting local and overseas Road Show and Summit with suppliers
- Co-ordinating business development strategies between local and overseas sales management
- Providing input for annual trade lane budgeting
- Ensuring team provides selling tools such as benchmarking and selling kit for sales
- Acting as a consultant and subject matter expert to sales
- Planning and executing overseas visits acting as an enabler for overseas sales
- Establishing and agreeing trade lane customer list with sales and products
- Monthly reporting, monitoring and root cause analysis of trade lane sales
- Developing effective pricing strategies for profitable growth
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Minimum five (5) years previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in Sales / similar roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Be result driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills with a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Given the autonomous nature of this role, you're comfortable working independently
- Demonstrated experience and capability in building sales pipelines.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
