Are you a Social Marketing professional with proven experience managing end-to-end campaigns looking to extend your skills to the challenge of improving the healthy lifestyles of children and families in NSW? Be part of an innovative Social Marketing team in the Ministry of Health delivering the NSW Healthy Eating Active Living Strategy 2022-2032.
This role leads a team to develop and deliver Social Marketing and communications campaigns to address obesity in NSW. As a leader you will have proven experience in inspiring and motivating a team and collaborating to deliver best-practice Social Marketing. Your focus will be on increasing community awareness and contributing to healthier lifestyles through behavioral change and increased uptake to programs. Experience in the health sector is an advantage.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $139,787- $161,663 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

Where you'll be working
The Centre for Population Health aims to promote health and to prevent morbidity and mortality caused by modifiable risk factors. The CPH portfolio encompasses strategy, performance, and policy for: hepatitis B and C; sexually transmissible infections including HIV; tobacco; and healthy eating and active living to reduce lifestyle related chronic disease. The strategies used to address these issues include state-wide policy and planning, legislation and regulation, program development alignment between clinical, operational, strategic direction resource allocation, performance monitoring, research and evaluation.
Programs and services funded by the CPH are delivered in government, non-government, community and clinical settings. The CPH approach is characterised by a focus on evidence-informed programmatic and system-level interventions that improve health, reduce health inequity, create healthy environments, promote community action, enable personal health-seeking and recognise the social determinants of good health.
What you'll be doing
The Manager Social Marketing oversees the development, implementation, evaluation and management of Social Marketing strategies to priority groups in alignment with the NSW Healthy Eating Active Living Strategy 2022- 2032. The role works in close collaboration with program and policy managers to develop, support and monitor Social Marketing and communication workplans and activities across programs and policy implementations.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as marketing or communications and/or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and training
- Demonstrated experience in a senior Social Marketing role including end-to-end management of multiple, integrated communication campaigns.The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
