Do Work That Matters.CommBank’s CommSec Operations function is looking for a Manager to join and lead our Specialised Products team.CommSec Operations supports our CommSec business by performing critical functions across account openings, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, client maintenance, payments and investigations across Equities, Derivatives and Margin Lending products.Your role and responsibilities.We’re looking for someone who can deliver high performance to the business. As a Manager Specialised Products, you will lead a team to ensure we exceed our customer’s expectations as well as driving key initiatives across the team.The Specialised Products team provide operational support for a number of products including domestic and international equities, options and FX for CommSec customers. The team operates in a highly regulated environment. Knowledge of ASIC & ASX market rules along with a comprehensive understanding of Client Monies obligations will be highly regarded. Some of the functions you will be responsible for include: stock transfers, equity and options settlement, bookings, IPO’s and corporate actions.You will utilise your knowledge or experience in Financial Markets and Equity Operations to coach and lead the team on best practice and ensure we maintain compliance with the internal and regulatory control framework while also representing the team to internal stakeholder’s, clients, ASX participants, support staff, international settlement agents, and other regulatory bodies.You will also:
- Complete all record keeping, filing, reporting and reconciliations as required.
- Investigate, resolve and respond to any Client Service Officer (CSO) queries and requests from other departments.
- Interpret, investigate and resolve any daily exception, error and rejection reports
- Assist with the preparation of Compliance Incident Reports as and when required.
- Assist with special projects as and when required eg User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) work.
- Working hours will be dependent upon the ASX business dates and times and workloads.
- Ensure tasks are completed within the 48hr time frame to comply with the ASX rules.
- 10 years knowledge and experience of financial markets with exposure to corporate actions, options, bookings and client options.
- Strong management experience and team building skills to ensure high morale is maintained to drive a positive and inclusive team culture.
- A strong risk mindset with the ability to identify risks, resolve and escalate where required
- Good planning and organising skills with the ability to work to deadlines is key
- A strong understanding and focus on governance and procedures.
