As a leading player in the freight forwarding industry, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as the Manager of Strategic Accounts. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership abilities, financial acumen, and a knack for fostering strong client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of key accounts, driving revenue growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. You will be managing a team of Customer Service Specialists based in Australia & New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Customer Service Specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Effectively manage remote staff.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to empower team members to achieve their individual and collective goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set objectives, and implement development plans to maximize team effectiveness.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals for the Strategic Accounts portfolio.
- Analyse financial data, identify trends, and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance & commercial teams to forecast revenue, manage budgets, and optimize resource allocation.
- Operational Excellence and KPI Management:
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of Strategic Accounts and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement operational plans to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues promptly and ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding services.
- Customer Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Strategic Accounts.
- Anticipate customer needs, proactively address concerns, and identify opportunities to add value and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to identify growth opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and expand the scope of services offered to Strategic Accounts.
