Overview:
The Manager, Strategic Commissioning is accountable to the Executive Director, Planning and Commissioning for:
- Leading the design, conduct and management of complex projects that promote the efficient use of resources and evidence-based care for the health care system.
- Oversight, establishment and ongoing management of strategies, mechanisms, and plans to achieve continuous improvement through the integration of planning and commissioning cycles.
- Articulate a clear vision and direction for the commissioning of health services that are aligned to population health need and strategic direction.
- Leading and managing the development of planning processes that impact commissioning activities to ensure appropriate design for future health services and facilitate implementation of identified health reforms across the system.
- Management and successful delivery of service response projects, providing planning and commissioning insights to enable successful implementation.
- Providing leadership and oversight of development of the Service Agreements with Local Health Networks.
- Providing leadership and oversight to monitoring and evaluation processes to inform future commissioning directions and responses.
