About the role
You will be responsible for leading a high-performance team of technical trainers, providing support and contributing to design and delivery of training that supports our mining equipment solution portfolio [equipment, technology, and services].
As an active contributor to achieving operational and strategic objectives, including utilisation and revenue targets, you will build and manage a high-performance team leading from the front with a strong technical background gained from working in the field and with Liebherr equipment.
Experience leading teams and projects, coupled with a working knowledge of high-quality Technical Training will assist you to hit the ground running in this dynamic role that will see you championing new technologies and products with internal and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Working with stakeholders throughout the business and with significant geographical reach, this position can be based at any one of our Mining branches in Mackay, Mt Thorley and Perth or Head Office training facility located in Adelaide.
Duties
- Lead the Technical Training capability for our national team of technical trainers through design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of technical support
- Establishes and maintains high quality Technical Training capabilities across Liebherr’s Australia’s Mining Division, and its customers.
- Participate in strategy development, budget and reporting functions to achieve sustainable profit and positive customer experience
- Adhere to and develop process and standards that support the business goals
- Design, deliver, assess, and evaluate Technical Training programs according to the strategy
- Actively pursue external training opportunities and generate revenue
- Maintain technical knowledge, skills and capability on relevant plant and equipment.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Liebherr technology and applications, and keeps abreast of emerging technologies that support expanded training and service offerings.
- Deliver high-quality Technical Training for to internal and external customers
- Fosters a high-performance team culture, delivering high quality training programs
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the trainee experience and enrich the Liebherr training offering.
- Contribute to and manage training teams objectives and KPIs
- Must be able to travel interstate and/or overseas
Skills & experience
- Cert IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 (including TAELLN411 module)
- Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology (or similar) OR Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician (or similar) and Electrical Licence
- Experience building and maintaining Liebherr machinery
- Experience developing and delivering Technical Training programs
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and prepare technical reports which we live, work, and operate.
- Experience using Liebherr IT systems (including TELL) would be advantageous
- Willing to obtain or have current project management qualifications
