Skills and experience
As an educator, you are expected to be an active team member of a team which provides high-quality Early Childhood education and care to children.
This includes:
- Developing strong relationships with children at the service;
- Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community;
- Assist team/room educators to deliver effective and valuable documentation of children's learning in accordance with the Mission, Values and beliefs, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Model and support team/room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.
- Implementing the policies and associated procedures of the organisation at all times
- Working with other educators to uphold and promote the services mission, beliefs and values when undertaking all actions and duties
- To work in accordance with the requirements of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
- Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia
- To work within Maniltoa Children's Centre Code of Conduct for educators
- Evidence of commitment to play based learning in a caring environment
- Knowledge (or willingness to undertake new learning) of Reggio Emilia and RIE approaches to curriculum
- Must have a current Working with Children's Clearance and HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting or HLTAID004 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting.
Remuneration is based on the Children's Services Award 2010 and salary will be determined on the basis of qualifications and years of experience and will range between and $60K and $70K
