San Remo is a South Australian success story. Synonymous with the modern manufacture and distribution of traditional Italian pasta to 35 countries throughout the world, this privately owned family business continues to grow and expand, employing around 800 staff nationally and a further 800 staff across its international operations.
Based in Adelaide and reporting directly to the CEO as part of the Executive Team, and working closely with Manufacturing Managers across the business, this important position will take responsibility for:
- process optimisation and continuous improvement;
- preventative maintenance;
- driving the improvement of safety standards;
- special manufacturing projects and initiatives;
- sourcing, installing and deriving best value from appropriate capital equipment.
Applications are encouraged from both emerging and proven professionals with strong mechanical aptitude. Previous experience in a high-volume food manufacturing or a comparable environment, will be highly regarded. Whilst the initial focus will be on the Adelaide manufacturing site which manufactures noodles, fresh pasta and sauces, there is genuine scope for the role to expand and include additional sites interstate. The successful candidate will be results-oriented with well-developed communication skills. Excellent planning, project management and problem-solving skills are also important. An understanding of Best Practice maintenance and preventative strategies, together with trade and/or degree technical qualifications are essential.
