u&u Recruitment Partners is excited to partner with the iconic Liebherr Australia to recruit an exciting executive leadership opportunity within the company's mining division. With a history spanning more than 50 years and more than 50,000 employees, this family-owned company is credited with the creation of the world's first tower crane in 1949. Fast forward to the present day, and the company has a diverse product and service offering across 13 product divisions, some of which include mining equipment, construction machines, , mobile cranes, refrigeration, and aerospace & transportation systems, to name a few. Due to significant growth, Liebherr Australia are now looking for an Executive General Manager to lead the Supply Chain and Manufacturing function for mining, in this newly created opportunity.
About the role:
Reporting to the Managing Director - Mining, this role is responsible for leading a large, geographically dispersed team and achieving financial and operational objectives across the Remanufacturing, Supply Chain and Demand Planning functions. While the company focuses on their strategic goal of being a demand led business this role will support that by embedding a consistent and reliable operating rhythm across their end-to-end Supply Chain.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and delivering the strategic and operational objectives in line with business strategy;
- Leading a team of General Managers to maintain and develop capability across end to end Supply Chain;
- Managing the profit and loss of the function to align with financial objectives and KPI's;
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to further enhance optimal outcomes for customers; and
- Continuing to strengthen internal and external relationships across the group, customers and industry bodies.
Who are we looking for?
Professional post- graduate qualifications will be complemented by exceptional leadership skills, a high level of resilience, personal integrity, and commitment to deliver. You will have a proven depth of leading an end-to-end Supply Chain function ideally within a Manufacturing, Mining, Engineering or related industry sector. With strong influencing skills, you will enjoy working within a global organisation, demonstrating great flexibility in adapting to the needs of the business.
Naturally, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience working as a senior leader, alongside your ability to motivate, guide and develop performance within the team;
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a with a wide range of customers and stakeholders; and
- A strong business acumen, resilience to flex and navigate a changing environment and the ability to 'lean in' and be involved in tasks that will contribute to business outcomes.
