The Role
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Manager based at their key milling facility in Warwick, SE QLD. This role is a critical part of the business, and the successful candidate will be part of the ANZ Senior leadership team and directly report to the CEO. You will be accountable for overseeing the operational performance, including the management, supervision, and leadership of team members within their allocated area to ensure safety, quality and efficiency is at the highest standard. Your role will encompass and:
- Develop, lead, and manage staff to ensure optimal performance and productivity
- Manage all aspects of manufacturing processes to quality and timing standards
- Engage with the distribution team and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure safety, compliance, and responsible financial management are met including P&L and budgeting
- Strong planning and organisational skills with focus on production efficiency and streamlining operations
- Provide effective leadership on all facets of the Warwick operation, production planning, milling management, supplier relationships, warehousing, logistics with third parties in a safe and efficient manner
- Build a health and safety culture with a relentless focus on improvement with all key direct reports
- Troubleshoot day to day issues to manage production output
- Resolve non-conformance issues and seek continual improvements
- Encourage and manage all staff on site and build a success focused culture
- 5+ years previous experience in food manufacturing, flour, feed or maize milling, experience in grain milling type plants advantageous
- Have solid experience in manufacturing including budgeting, data analysis, and report generation
- Proven experience in managing multiple teams, ability to establish, build and maintain positive relationships
- Experience in compliance management with all regulatory requirements, including WHS
- Knowledge and experience in managing food safety programs
- Be a natural leader of people, self-motivated, self-driven and energetic
- Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have a strong focus on achieving results for the company within a people friendly professional culture
- Experienced in using online software programs, as well as ERP type software
- Competent skills in Microsoft suite, including Teams
- Food safety or HACCP training desirable, but not essential
- Experienced internal auditor an advantage
- Have an affinity or passion for the rural and agriculture industry
