AddressReporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for driving optimal performance and promoting continuous improvement to ensure production operates smoothly and successfully. The Gympie factory is a 24/7 operation, and your work involves rotating 12-hour shifts of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.
Supervising a team of 7 Production Operators, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure all production work adheres to safety, quality, compliance, reliability, and cost requirements
- Leading, coaching & motivating a multi-skilled team to work to standards whist achieving individual, departmental, development, and planned performance improvements
- Fostering continuous improvement principles to build capability and improve your areas overall performance
- Building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Responsible for leveraging team-based problem-solving techniques to investigate, analyse, identify, and mitigate causes of safety, quality, and efficiency gaps in manufacturing.
- Drive Focused Improvement projects and activities in accordance with site objectives and the production plan
- Analyse and present general production data to cross-functional representatives.
To be successful, you will:
- Have previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a FMCG production environment.
- Possess excellent people management skills with a demonstrated ability of implementing a Continuous Improvement culture.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communications skills, to effectively lead Production Operators, and communicate production goals and objectives.
- Engineering qualifications are beneficial.
- Good computing skills, preferably experienced working with SAP software.
