Marine Mechanic

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in marine services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Marine Mechanics, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various marine engines, including outboard motors, inboard engines, and diesel engines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with boats, yachts, and other marine equipment.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Install, repair, and replace marine parts and components, such as propellers, shafts, and steering systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding service recommendations and updates.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic, preferably in a boatyard environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with a variety of marine engines, systems, and equipment including Honda and Mercury.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Port Stephens, NSW
• Forklift licence would be an advantage but not essential
