About the role
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marine Surveyor to join our Caleb Brett Team in Perth on a Fulltime Permanent basis.
- Conducting Cargo, Marine, Petroleum, Chemical, Grain Surveys, and Inspections on sea going and bulk cargo vessels.
- Preparation of reports and invoices.
- Liaison with Clients, Shipping Agents, and Vessel Staff.
- General office functions, reporting and analysis of accurate and timely results.
- Assist with other terminal and wharf duties when required.
- The position will require the candidate to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
Selection criteria
- Display respect and professionalism to all stakeholders at all times.
- Oil and LNG/LPG tanker experience is preferred.
- Marine Deck Officer experience is preferred.
- Dry cargo, and marine inspections experience is required.
- Computer proficiency and an understanding of MS Office suite, internet, and email.
- Due to the nature of the industry, ability to attend offshore work at short notice is required.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to work unsupervised (once appropriately trained).
- Sensitivity to deal with confidential information.
