About the role:
Due to sustained growth and continued success, Propel Marine are looking to add an experienced Marine Surveyor/ Marine Superintendent to our talented team to play a vital role in our expansion.
This role is pivotal to our expansion strategy and offers a unique Fly In / Fly Out (FIFO) opportunity from Perth. Roster TBA but expected to be 8D on/6D off or 2 weeks on, 1 week off. The primary location is Onslow, Western Australia.
Duties include staying onboard vessels at anchorage to perform survey-related tasks as required. This position is initially offered on a fixed-term basis for 2 years, with potential for extension or relocation.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in field activities, delivering high quality solutions and collaborating with our team of experienced professionals in Australia and beyond to meet their full potential.

Travel within the Pilbara region and within Australia, is a role requirement.
Job Activities:
Marine surveys including but not limited to the following:
- Conducting Draft Surveys for vessels at anchorage or berth
- Inspecting Cargo Holds for Cleanliness
- Performing Port Captaincy Functions
- Coordinating Loading System checks with various stakeholders
- Optimising Load Sequences
- Conducting Bunker and Condition Surveys
- Ensuring vessel and cargo safety, compliance, and quality through inspections and surveys
- Providing Safety, Compliance, and Quality advisory
- Performing Flag State Inspections
- Attending to Vessel Repairs
About you:
- Class I Master Mariner
- Minimum 1 years sailing experience in the rank of Master.
- Diploma in Marine Surveying (advantageous)
- Experience as a Marine Surveyor / Superintendent (preferred).
- Conversant with local rules, regulations and terminal operations
- Valid MSIC
- Australian work-rights
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong Communication skills
- Genuine service focus
