About the Opportunity
The Marketing and Communications Lead is an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team, providing strategic communication advice and leading the development of communication and campaign strategies. The role works collaboratively with business partners across the organisation to produce communication, media and marketing material that aligns with NT PHN's branding and strategic goals.
The role is responsible for activities such as advertising, corporate events, media relations, social media strategy, website and digital marketing, and stakeholder engagement on behalf of NT PHN. The position is responsible for leading a small team to provide communication and marketing support across all branches and reports to the Communications and Operations Manager.
This is a temporary Leave Backfill until 6 September 2024.
About the Role
Reporting to the Communications and Operations Manager, the Marketing and Communications Lead is accountable for:
- Leading the Marketing and Communications team to deliver effective and engaging external and internal communication support for the organisation.
- Planning and delivering communication projects and campaigns that meet strategic and organisational objectives.
- Managing the delivery of key corporate events, publications, advertising, sponsorship programs and other promotion to positively represent the organisation.
- Leading internal communication to increase cross-division engagement and support change management within the organisation.
- Providing support for media enquiries and issues management, and monitoring media via the NT PHN's media monitoring platform.
- Applying well developed research and written communications skills to produce accurate, easily understood communication material including e-newsletters, digital and web copy.
- Providing effective coaching, mentoring and professional development to direct reports, and applying appropriate recruitment, induction, and performance management principles to build a high performing team.
- Fostering positive relationships with key internal stakeholders to determine and deliver communication priorities in line with NT PHN's strategic objectives and the Marketing and Communications plan.
- Work respectfully and inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from diverse backgrounds.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture by working collaboratively and purposefully across the organisation, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Maintain a proactive approach to work health and safety, specifically taking responsibility for the health and safety of self and others.
