  • Level 7, $65.61 per hour plus 11% superannuation
  • Casual opportunity (working up to approximately 36.25 hours per week)

The Opportunity

Join our team as a Marketing and Communications Specialist! You'll drive the planning, development, and organisation of advertising policies and campaigns to boost our service objectives. Your expertise will be pivotal as you advise management and key external stakeholders on advertising strategies and campaigns aimed at reaching target markets. Your efforts will be instrumental in creating consumer awareness and effectively promoting the attributes of our services and Clinical Trials network.

You will

  • plan, develop and organise advertising policies and campaigns to support UniSC Clinical Trials service objectives, including participant and patient recruitment campaigns, business development strategies and community and industry engagement activities;
  • advise management, industry stakeholders and clients on advertising strategies and campaigns to reach target markets, creating consumer awareness and effectively promoting the attributes of our services to each audience;
  • Co-ordinate production of advertising campaigns involving specialised activities, such as artwork, copywriting, media scripting, production and media placement, within specified time and budgetary constraints;
  • Analyse data regarding consumer patterns and preferences from a wide variety of platforms with an ability to develop reports and communicate outputs to both internal and external stakeholders confidently;
  • Interpret and predict current and future consumer trends in consultation with key external stakeholders and clients;
  • Research potential demand and market characteristics for clinical trial services and consumer sentiments, as well as collecting and analysing the data and other statistical information; and
  • support business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives, policies and programs.

Your organisational prowess shines as you manage projects and events with precision, operating independently within established guidelines while prioritising competing demands and consistently meeting deadlines. In every interaction and task, your dedication to excellence and your ability to navigate complexities sets you apart.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant Marketing and Communications /design degree with subsequent experience, or a combination of relevant work experience and education/training. Previous experience in a commercial or corporate environment required;
  • knowledge of the drug development processes and in-depth knowledge of comsumer and patient engagement practices.  Knowledge and ability to apply ICH/GCP and applicable regulatory guidelines;
  • proficient ability to analyse marketing metrics and data and ensure future activities are driven by data insights; 
  • knowledge of clinical research budget planning and project financial tracking and accounting methods and ability to make informed decisions based on strategic information, data, and market insight;
  • computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint; and
  • advanced leadership skills to facilitate team development and inter-operation communications and directives.
