We are looking to appoint a SeniorBoarding House Assistant (permanent part time opportunity)to join our dynamic Boarding House team. This position will collaborate closely with the Head of Boarding and all Boarding House Assistant’s, overseeing and cultivating a nurturing and supportive environment for our students.
You will lead a small team of staff on shift in the absence of the Head of Boarding. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the seamless and effective operation of the Boarding House, while providing high-quality pastoral care to our students and contributing to their personal development and wellbeing.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience working in a Boarding House, educational environment or an environment dealing with children/adolescents such as a parent or carer.
- Previous experience in dealing with children and / or young adults, ideally in residential setting.
- Working knowledge of the operations of boarding facilities, would be an advantage but is not essential
- current registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania), or be eligible for registration
- current National Police History Record Check, or be willing to obtain
- current first aid in education & care setting (HLTAID012) qualifications and CPR (HLTAID009), or be willing to attain
- a current driver’s licence.
Rosters are across 7 days per week during school term time (occasionally may include school holiday program):
- one (1) full duty shift per term week, 3:15pm until 8:45am (overnight stay or live within 5km of the Boarding House)
- Supervision duties, the equivalent of two (2) full weekends per term.
- Opportunities for additional casual shifts.
- Opportunities for school holiday program support.
