The role
We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to work closely with the marketing team, to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our brand. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with helping to identify marketing trends and opportunities for growth, as well as creating marketing materials.
Duties of the role:
- Work closely with the Marketing Specialist to execute various marketing campaigns and activities
- Create compelling content for different marketing channels, including newsletters, email, and print
- Building a strong online presence and increasing website and media traffic
- Monitor and analyse the performance of our marketing campaigns and provide reports to the Marketing Specialist and Sales teams
- Conduct regular market research and provide insights on potential markets.
- Collaborate with our internal teams, including creating content and utilizing a multitude of programs/systems and operations, to ensure the effective execution of marketing initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing Specialist.
To be a success, you will need:
- Strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging content for various marketing channels (experience with ChatGPT essential)
- 1-2 years experience in a professional marketing role (essential)
- Ability to work cohesively within a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to complete ad-hoc duties, as directed by Sales & Marketing Director
- Demonstrated graphic design experience
- Experience with CRM platforms, such as Mailchimp or Soho
- Proficiency with social media platforms, knowledge and experience with Facebook Business & Ads Manager, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Proven skill in driving Social traffic to WordPress sites (essential)
- Sound knowledge of SEO (essential)
- Hands-on experience in building high-performing ads
- PowerPoint and/or Google Slides skills
