Join our dynamic team as a Marketing, Communications & Activations specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Nationwide Consumer Behaviour Change Campaign (NCBCC) to tackle household food waste. We are seeking a passionate, energetic professional who cares deeply about the cause and has a proven track record in marketing, PR and media relations. This role is ideal for someone with strong strategic creative flair, exceptional energy, and skills in content development across owned, earned, shared and paid media.
Head Office is in Adelaide, however our team can work flexibly across Australia from home offices and in some states through partner organisation's spaces. This role is being offered as 1.0 FTE, contracted until 30 October 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the campaign team, creative agency and behavioural experts to enact and implement the campaign in line with campaign strategy, and creative execution.
- Execute operational elements of the campaign including create engaging, creative content for various platforms, media and marketing materials.
- External stakeholders, media outlets, and other campaign partners to ensure cohesive and effective execution.
- Contribute to strategic development of the campaign.
- Partnership scoping: Support the campaign director(s) to design, scope and implement partnership opportunities with government(s), NGOs and private sectors such as activations, co-designed content and other initiatives.
- Coordinate with the NCBCC team to craft compelling social media content, newsletters, EDM’s and presentations utilising design tools such as Canva to create visually appealing content.
- Manage social media accounts in conjunction with the creative agency, including content development, scheduling, monitoring and having input to strategic direction.
- Management and continual development of content for the website including consumer content and a Resources Hub for stakeholder asset use.
- Liaise with and assist stakeholders to deploy campaign assets, including maximising the use of the online Resources Hub.
- Lead continual PR initiatives for the campaign in various jurisdictions nationwide, with support from a creative agency.
- Lead the planning and execution of trade and consumer activations (such as industry expos), managing logistics from concept to completion.
Education:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years experience preferred in marketing, communications or related experience
- Experience working in PR with media outlets highly regarded.
Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, threads, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, social media management tools, and email marketing software.
- Basic proficiency in content development and strategy across owned, earned, shared paid media channels.

- Advanced proficiency in content development and strategy across owned, earned, shared paid media channels.
- Experience with graphic design or knowledge of design principles.
