The Glen Hotel is an iconic, award-winning, family-owned Hotel in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. It offers diverse facilities, including multiple dining and bar areas, a gaming room, conference and event spaces, a retail bottle shop, 4.5-star accommodation, and a coffee shop.

We are looking for a casual Marketing and Communications Coordinator to promote The Glen Hotel and all marketing, communications, and internal event activities in line with the hotel’s yearly event and promotion calendar.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable experiences, skilled in promotional strategies, and possess excellent communication, organisational and collaboration abilities.
The Role will Include
- Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the Hotel's dining, bars, events, conferences, accommodation, retail, and gaming offerings.
- Collaborate closely with department heads and managers to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business goals and each department's customer retention and growth strategies.
- Maintain the website with upcoming events, new menus, and weeknight specials.
- Guide the social and content creator in executing the hotel’s content strategy across all channels.
- Developing end-to-end marketing campaigns for all hotel events & promotions, including new menu roll out.
- Maintaining up-to-date marketing calendar
- Make sure all outward and internal communication across the hotel is clear, engaging and on-brand.
- Write creative briefs and collaborate with the brand and creative coordinator on the production of all traditional and digital assets.
- Oversee the Hotel’s responses to external reviews to maintain the hotel’s high standard reputation.
- Manage external advertising campaigns and strategies, including updating content and imagery on third-party listings and websites.
- Collaborate with the team on collating content and imagery to produce submissions for industry awards and accreditation.
- Weekly meetings to track tasks across the operations and marketing teams to ensure campaigns and strategic projects launch on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Outstanding communicator - verbal, written and visual.
- Relevant degree in Marketing, Digital or Business.
- 2 + years’ experience in Marketing.
- Excellent time management skills and a knack for prioritising tasks and working autonomously.
- Experience working with WordPress CMS and other digital marketing tools for EDMs (e.g. Me&U| Sprout) and social media scheduling (e.g. Later).
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Initiative and being able to engage with others effectively and empathetically.
- Proficiency in Canva.
Advantageous to have
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 Proficiency in Adobe Creative, ticketing and booking platforms
