ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing & Communications Specialist to join the team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Team Lead – Marketing & Communications, you will play a key role in delivering communication strategies that support the organisation’s business priorities. This position is perfect for a creative storyteller who can produce engaging content across various platforms and help build a vibrant community of environmental stakeholders.
DUTIES
- Strategic Communications & Media: Produce and oversee content to execute the communications strategy, including online, social, and direct communications. Draft and review media releases, produce project snapshots, and create engaging outputs for websites, social media, and other platforms.
- Content Creation: Develop storyboards, produce video content, and customize it for various communications channels. Ensure high-quality visuals and scripting.
- Project Coordination: Manage marketing and communications projects from conception to completion, adhering to deadlines and implementing basic SEO strategies.
- Analytics & Administration: Provide administrative support, assist with event organisation, promote brand awareness, and maintain audience engagement statistics. Collect and analyse impact statistics for campaigns and produce high-quality branded reports and presentations
- Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a relevant discipline.
- Advanced content writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into simple, effective communications.
- Clear and concise copywriting skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keen interest in working collaboratively within a highly dynamic team environment.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ideal:
- Experience in writing content for scientific, environmental, or technical industries.
- Background in natural resource management or environmental science.
