The Role
We are seeking a full time Marketing Coordinator with a genuine aspiration and drive to progress to a Senior Marketing position in line with the company’s growth requirements. Part time applications will be considered.
This is a new role which will be responsible for implementing activities that drive brand and sales objectives. More specifically:
- Plan and manage all agreed company marketing initiatives to ensure timely implementation and compliance. This includes ensuring effective communication of agreed marketing initiatives throughout the organisation to achieve companywide commitment and contribution.
- Manage the digital and social media strategies and content, including looking ahead and finding innovative and creative ways to communicate the brand. This will also involve managing all SEO activities, social media management and web content management.
- Development and overseeing of client and company events. We are a B2B business with relationship building a key marketing component. The development of relevant and engaging client events and participation at relevant expos is a significant activity of the marketing function.
- Prepare and distribute news releases on key company projects and activities.
- Management of key external marketing consultants including (but not limited to) web company, SEO company, strategic marketing consultants, key journalists in industry sector publications and signage companies.
- Support and progress strategic branding/marketing projects.
- Assist in the content creation, design development and implementation of marketing materials and activities.
- Assist with the content creation, design and presentation requirements for key customer meetings.
- Managing customer databases and reporting.
- Market research – keep the team up to date with product category developments including online and direct consumer research.
- Board reporting - Prepare overview of marketing activities for monthly board reporting.
- Provide support to the Directors on key company initiatives as required including helping to support company culture development programs.
To be considered for this role applicants need to be able to meet the following selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline,
- 3-4 years of working experience in a marketing support role consisting of a mix of traditional and digital marketing expertise,
- Calm and confident while being open, bold and optimistic,
- High level of personal drive, ambition and curiosity,
- Sound understanding of marketing principles,
- Research ability, with the skills to find, collate, analyse and share market insights with the team,
- Excellent communication skill,
- Ability to organise and manage multiple projects and set priorities to deliver results on time, and
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
