What do we have on offer?
Reporting to the PR & Communications Manager, the Marketing Executive – Partnerships is responsible for integrating the club’s partners into club owned channels. The role is vital in connecting the club’s account managers, partners, the club and fans, and requires a deep understanding of partner requirements, the club’s brand and what Port Adelaide fans want.

What you will be responsible for:
Partnership Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with internal account managers to gather partner insights, preferences, and objectives, ensuring marketing strategies and creative solutions are tailored to meet partner needs.
- Develop and execute strategies to leverage owned channels (e.g., website, social media platforms, email marketing, in-stadium signage) to amplify partner messaging and increase brand visibility.
- Optimize owned channel content and distribution tactics to maximise reach, engagement, and conversion opportunities for partner campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including commercial partnerships, design, digital content, consumer and publicity to execute integrated marketing campaigns that deliver impactful results for partners.
- Proactively engage with internal account managers and partners to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for enhancing marketing strategies and campaign performance.
Creative Solution Development:
- Brainstorm and conceptualize innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives that align with partner objectives and resonate with target audiences.
- Work closely with internal teams or external partner agencies to develop compelling marketing assets, including social media content, copywriting, and partner activations.
- Drive continuous improvement in partnership marketing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall partner satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team by encouraging experimentation, idea generation, and knowledge sharing to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Campaign Execution and Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of owned-channel marketing campaigns (from ideation to reporting), ensuring they are delivered on time, within PAFC brand parameters, and meet partner expectations.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and analytics, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and partners on progress, optimisations, and outcomes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of partnership marketing initiatives.
- Conduct post-campaign analysis and prepare comprehensive reports detailing campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for future optimizations.
Key Competencies, Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
- Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or a similar discipline
- 3-4 years in a similar marketing or partnerships role
- Agency or partnership integration experience favourable
- Experience using project management tools
- Experience using various reporting tools
- Some experience developing creative campaigns
- Strong copy writing and editing skills. A storyteller who can effectively communicate to a range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks with competing deadlines and priorities
